The 192nd annual commencement ceremony for University of the Sciences is scheduled for 1 p.m. on Wednesday, May 22, inside the Liacouras Center (1776 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia). Nearly 500 degrees will be conferred during this year’s ceremony, including an honorary doctor of science degree on Kenneth A. Dickinson P’68, MS, RPh, in recognition of his outstanding contributions to society. Dickinson has distinguished himself through his service in key leadership roles at pharmacy organizations, both regionally and nationally, and by building a reputation as an expert lecturer and pharmacists’ advocate.

Dickinson is co-founder and past president of the board of directors of Secundum Artem Reaching Pharmacists with Help (SARPH), Pennsylvania’s Peer Assistance Program for the profession of pharmacy. The organization was established in 1984 to promote the identification, early intervention and treatment of impaired pharmacists, interns and students. Since its inception nearly 30 years ago, thousands of participants have enrolled in this program.
